After 9 months of sleep deprivation ! My little Léonie is finally sleeping ! What a relief ! As a maternity coach I though i would share with you my findings ! I take this opportunity to thank my dearest friend Quit SG & Albane Bazaar for their support ! The best advice is Be Strong & Patient so the miracle will happen !
Between the birth and 2 months :
Your baby will sleep during about 16 or 18 hours by periods of 3 or 4 hours. Each cycles is about 50 min, they start with an agited sleep (irregular breathing, small noise etc.)And after he will have a big and deep sleep regular breathing etc.)
Between 2 and 9 months :
Until 3 months, the baby will have search his sleeping cycles. He sleeps during 4 or 5 hours in a raw, about 15or 16 hours per day. At arround 4 months he is ready to sleep alone the all night. The sleeping cycle will be different : first a light sleep and then a deep sleep.
Between 9 months and 3 years old :
He sleeps 12 or 15h, nap included, but at about 3 years old, the nap from the end of the end of the afternoon will disapear. His cycles will be 70 minbut it is a slow sleep, then a slow and deep sleep.
Between 3 and 6 years old :
The child sleep 11 or 12 h with a nap of 1h after lunch. His sleeping cycle looks like ours which is 90 to 120 min. They will have 4 differents cycles in a night : fisrt the slow, light sleep, then slow deep sleep a slow very deep sleep finally a light sleep.
